PIPESTONE MEDICAL GROUP/AVERA HEALTH

Pipestone Medical Group/Avera Health is seeking a board eligible or board certified family practice physician who is interested in OB.  This physician will join a group of 5 family practice physicians, 1 general surgeon and 1 physician assistant.  Call would be 1:6.  The position is for the candidate who wants to be part of a primary care network of physicians who care about their patients and want to have a professional and personal quality of life in southwest Minnesota.  The physician will be an employee of Avera McKennan.  In addition to a competitive base salary with production incentives and excellent retirement and vacation benefits, loan repayment assistance is available. 

The Pipestone Medical Group is part of the Avera Health network, a regional family of more than 100 health care facilities in the five-state region of Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and North Dakota.  Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is the regional referral center for the clinic.  Outreach clinics in the area include Jasper Family Clinic and Edgerton Family Clinic. 

Attached to the clinic, the Pipestone County Medical Center/Avera Health is a 44 bed facility providing both inpatient and outpatient services.  Among the many services offered in-house are Cardiac Care & Rehab, Chemotherapy, CC, Radiology and Ultrasound, 24 hour ER, Kidney Dialysis, Lab, Maternity Care, Newborn Care, Pharmacy, PT, Pulmonary Rehab, RT, Same Day & Inpatient Surgery and X-Ray.  Adjacent to the hospital is Ashton Care Center/Avera Health, a 43-bed Medicare/Medicaid certified skilled nursing home facility.  www.pcmchealth.org
