Fairview Northland Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to carry out medical director and emergency room responsibilities. The medical director role will be a .3 (24 hours per pay period) and provide medical leadership to include managing employee relation issues, serving as the recruitment physician lead, and handling performance evaluations. .7 (56 hours a pay period) of this role will include hands on patient care as an Emergency Medicine physician, consisting of all patient admissions in the Emergency Department. 

The Emergency Medicine physicians see an average of 1.5 patients per hour and admit approximately 6 patients per day. They work 12, 12 hour shifts per month and three holiday shifts per year. Shift times are from 7:00 am-7:00 pm, noon-10:00 pm, or 7:00 pm-7:00 am. 

The Emergency Department physicians are committed to providing comprehensive medical care to patients with urgent medical needs. About 18% of the Emergency Department visits are pediatric cases. Lab, diagnostic services, and specialty consults are available. Located 57 miles northwest of Minneapolis/St Paul and 30 miles east of St Cloud.
