Rutherford Internal Medicine Associates (RIMA) is seeking a 5th Hospitalist to join their 15 doctor multi-specialty group.  The Hospitalists work a 5-week rotation and each cycle includes on average, 3 weekends off and 2 weekends on, 4 weekdays off and 4 weekdays of flex (day off unless another Hospitalist is on vacation) and 4 weeks of vacation.  This cycle also includes 1 weekend of 7 PM to 7 AM and 5 weeknights of 9 PM to 7 AM.  This totals out to working 16 shifts per 5 week cycle.  Average work week of 41 hours overall!

RIMA offers a competitive salary and full benefits.  Additional compensation is available for working additional shifts if desired.  The Hospitalists admit from the ER and carry 10-16 patients.  The Hospitalists average 12 admissions per 24 hour shift.  They follow patients in the ICU but performing procedures is not a requirement.  Our Hospitalist program is 6 years old.  2 of the Hospitalists have been with us from the beginning and the other 2 have 4 and 5 years with us.

Our primary market area is 70,000.  The Active Medical Staff numbers 120 and 95% of these physicians are boarded.  They represent 24 specialties.

Rutherford Hospital is an acute care, private facility licensed for 143 beds.  Additional services offered include lithotripsy, MRI and home health.  We have a 14-bed psychiatric unit with a Structured Outpatient Program.  The financial viability of Rutherford Hospital can readily be attested to by the excellent facility enhancements:

The average number of births per year is 700.  Our MRI is on site 5 days per week and has a 1.5 Telsa Magnet with no wait time.  The digital angio suite enables us the capability of performing heart caths and vascular procedures.  The sleep lab performs 25 sleep studies per week.  The excellent retention rate of the Hospital staff and Medical Staff attest to the superiority of the work environment.
