Heart Failure Physician Needed in Chicago

Advocate Christ Medical Center (ACMC), a 695 bed not-for-profit teaching and research institution seeks an experienced heart failure physician to become a member of our Heart Failure Institute faculty.  The incumbent will provide state of the art, evidenced based care to patients in all stages of heart failure.  Practice sites include critical care medical and surgical heart units, a hospital based Heart Failure Clinic and private medical offices. Experience or interest in pulmonary hypertension is a plus. 

This is an opportunity to be part of an associated, collaborative team leading LVAD and heart transplantation.  ACMC’s Heart Failure program annually trains Heart Failure Fellows and is active in a wide range of clinical research projects. The program also enjoys excellent support services (Office of Clinical Research, CV Surgery, Electrophysiology, Molecular Biology Lab and Scientist and Primary Care). Opportunity exists to lead a system wide Heart Failure initiative as well as to collaborate with the faculty of Hope Children’s Hospital.

ACMC is nationally renowned for the use of innovative technologies and advanced procedures in the treatment of heart disease and stroke. Lead by cardiologist Dr. Marc Silver, one of the foremost experts on congestive heart failure, we are one of the largest and most comprehensive providers of cardiovascular services in Illinois.  The ACMC Heart Failure Institute currently has a very active outpatient CHF clinic, multiple clinical trails for CHF and a dedicated surgical program for the treatment of CHF.  We are one of the nation’s leaders in Ventricular Assist Device technology including Destination Therapy programs.  ACMC is affiliated with the University of Illinois with ongoing collaboration for residents and fellow education as well as clinical research. Our Heart Failure program is JCAHO Disease Specific certified and we have the greatest number of heart failure admissions in the Chicago area.
