White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas, is a 200 bed regional referral center and the flagship facility of White River Health System.  Batesville, population 10,000, is situated at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains on the banks of the White River.  It is an economically diverse community with major employrers in education, manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare.  Area public schools consistently rank in the top 10% statewide on benchmark tests.  Batesville is also home to the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville and nationally ranked Lyon College.  Batesville is 90 miles north of Little Rock, Arkansas and 120 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee.
