General or Child Psychiatrist - Residential Treatment and Outpatient


General or Child Psychiatrist Position for Residential Treatment and Outpatient care for children and adolescents. Duties include treatment team meeting and daily care off patients assigned. There is opportunity for clinical administrative title and duties for interest candidates. The work environment is supportive and collegial and there is great opportunity for personal and professional growth.
 
Position is fulltime and ideal candidates will be BE/BC in General or Child Psychiatry having interest in working with patients in long term residential treatment and outpatient services. If a General Psychiatrist must be comfortable and willing to work with adolescents and children. 

A compensation package including salary, benefits and more will be offered.
Foundations for Living is a secure, mid-to-long-term residential treatment center for adolescents 12 to 18 years of age. Our privately funded, 84-bed center treatment center is accredited by CARF and licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. 

A number of key elements underlie and enhance our comprehensive services for troubled youth with behavioral, emotional, mental or psychological problems: A high level of professionalism. Our on-site staff comprises board certified psychiatrists, masters-level psychotherapists and licensed teachers. An individualized approach. We have a 1:7 staff to patient ratio, which exceeds licensing requirements and we are able to monitor residents on a one-to-one basis, as needed. Minimal restraint. Our facility-wide certification in Crisis Prevention Institute techniques enables us to use the least restrictive approach, thus relying on a therapeutic rapport with residents. Licensed nursing care. Our children feel safe with nursing care in our main buildings, which subtly reinforces their sense of well-being. Access to 24/7 licensed nursing care for medicinal administration, monitoring of side effects and medical education in a safe and secure facility also promotes an overall feeling of protection. Special incentives and amenities. A well-structured and effective Achievement Level System offering many tangible rewards motivates the children to make measurable progress. To promote physical health, healthy competition and team building, we have excellent athletic facilities and two full-time activities coordinators. An accredited school on the premises. Residents appreciate knowing they need not fall behind in their education. Our on-site school has certified teachers for all essential junior high and secondary school subjects. Foundations for Living adheres to specifications of an IEP, and develops and updates IEPs as needed. Residents also have the ability to obtain a GED.

Our beautiful community offers numerous housing options, excellent public and private schools – elementary to university level; outdoor activities of all kinds; diverse religious denominations and easy access for travel and activities outside the region.
