Hospitalist Opportunity
 
 
 
Position Description
Ø      Established and stable HOSPITALIST group seeking three (3) Internal Medicine physicians to join nine (9) others in expanding program.
Ø      Program developed in 2002 with exceptional leadership and administrative/staff support.
Ø      Complete medical subspecialty and surgical support.
 
 
Ideal Candidate
Ø      Board certified/ Board eligible in Internal Medicine; would consider BC Family Medicine candidate with Hospitalist experience.
Ø      Must possess stellar interpersonal skills with drive to provide great patient care and desire to practice TRUE HOSPITALIST medicine.
Ø      Must be team-oriented!
 
 
Practice Opportunity Attributes
Ø      Hospitalist team practices at one facility – The Williamsport Hospital – a 226-bed regional referral center.
Ø      Strong focus on both excellent patient care and physician care – Eight-hour shift rotating block schedule (typically 3 weeks on/1 week off) allows for physicians to practice safely in hospital and allows optimal family/leisure time.
Ø      Dynamic medical staff - ranging from experienced, long-standing members of the community to recent graduates with refreshing perspectives.

Ø      Susquehanna Health is a not-for-profit system that consists of three hospitals and a multi-specialty group practice employing over 90 physicians with a total medical staff of over 180 physicians.
Ø      SH is in the midst of a $250 million dollar expansion projectto include new patient tower with all private rooms along with new state-of-the-art Surgical Suites, Emergency and Imaging Departments.
 
Compensation and Benefits
Ø      Salary - $210,000 annual base.
Ø      Quarterly Productively Incentives.
Ø      Tuition Loan Forgiveness or signing bonus options.
Ø      Self-insured for malpractice and tail coverage.
Ø      Eligible for 403(b) and 457(b) first of the month after 30 days employment.
Ø      CME budget (10 days/$5000)
