Colorado's Premier Ped GI Group Seeks a 5th Physician as Brand New, Free-Standing Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children Launches Rocky Mountain Pediatric Gastroenterology (RMPGI) has a 14 year history serving the metro Denver and Boulder populations. The private practice group is in the process of transitioning to hospital employment in conjunction with the opening of the new children's facility at Presbyterian/St. Luke's. Opening in late 2008, the new facility will be the only children's hospital in Denver and the 2nd in the greater metro area. The hospital is being constructed on the campus of 126 year old Presbyterian/St. Luke's in Denver where RMPGI currently has an office. This is a for-profit facility associated with Denver's healthcare market leader, the HCA/HealthONE hospitals. Our Ped Specialists tell us things move much faster, more efficiently, and with less red tape than in academia. Presbyterian/St. Luke's is the tertiary care hub of a 6 community hospital system. The hospital is part of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), the largest hospital system in the U.S. Already on staff at Presbyterian St. Luke's are Ped Neuro, Ped Hem/Onc, Ped Neurosurgery, and Ped Pulmonology. The Maternal Fetal Medicine and Ped Surgery teams backing up this 84 bed NICU have international reputations. The ideal Ped GI candidate will be a fellow completing training in 2008, or a BC practicing physician w/ < 3 years out of training and available to start in late 2007 or 2008. Competitive market salary with full benefits; 1:5 call . The position carries some clinical research opportunities and future teaching potential as the new Children's Hospital matures, but this is emphatically not an academic position.
