Huntsville Hospital is an 881 bed Regional Referral and Trauma Center for North Alabama, with a new 38,000 square foot ED facility opened this August, and the second phase to be completed in 2008 making the ED 60,000 square feet at completion. Treatment space for nearly 100 patients, six state-of-the-art trauma suites with capacity of treating three patients in each suite. All treatment rooms are universal. Patient tracking system and advanced cardiac monitoring systems standard in every room. First ED in Alabama to offer StatScan technology. Very competitive salary and benefits offered.

Huntsville Hospital is one of the largest locally owned not-for-profit hospitals in the nation, with 881 licensed acute care beds. Huntsville Hospital was established in 1895, and has since grown to have 650 specialties, and 5,000 hospital employees, including nearly 2,000 nurses. As a teaching facility for the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Medicine, Huntsville Hospital helps train family physicians. In addition, the hospital serves as a participant in more than 100 drug research projects.
Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is a stand-alone facility dedicated to caring for women, infants, children, and adolescents. The hospital offers the region's most comprehensive and experienced maternal and child health programs. It was established in 2002 and is rated in the Top 50 Pediatric Programs in the nation, and has recently partnered with St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. It is the 5th St. Jude affiliated Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Clinic in the US and the first new affiliate to join the St. Jude family in more than a decade. We opened the clinic this past January and have had great success thus far. We average 4,000 births a year and around 700 admissions.
