Rutherford Hospital is located in Rutherfordton, NC and is part of the tri-city network that includes Spindale and Forest City.  Together the combined tri-city population equals 18,000.  Airports in Asheville, NC, Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC are all within 55 miles.  Interstates 26, 40 and 85 are accessible within 30 minutes.

Our primary market area is 70,000.  The Active Medical Staff numbers 120 and 95% of these physicians are boarded.  They represent 24 specialties.

Rutherford Hospital is an acute care, private facility licensed for 143 beds.  Additional services offered include lithotripsy, MRI and home health.  We have a 14-bed Behavioral Health unit with a Structured Outpatient Program.  The financial viability of Rutherford Hospital can readily be attested to by the excellent facility enhancements:

The average number of births per year is 700.  Our MRI is on site 5 days per week and has a 1.5 Telsa Magnet with no wait time.  The digital angio suite enables us the capability of performing heart caths and vascular procedures.  The sleep lab performs 25 sleep studies per week.  The excellent retention rate of the Hospital staff and Medical Staff attest to the superiority of the work environment.  Rutherford Hospital enjoys the distinct honor of being named to the Thomson "Top 100 Hospitals" 3 years consecutively.

Due to expanding services in our OR, we seek a 6th CRNA.  We utilize 5 ORs on Monday and Wednesday and 4 ORs Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  With new recruitment of surgical specialties and increased market share, our surgical case volume is increasing and we plan to go to 5 rooms Monday through Friday very soon.   We have 3 Anesthesiologists who are also employed by the Hospital.

The CRNAs work autonomously and provide general, bread and butter anesthetics.  80% of the pay is based on salary with an additional compensation for call, labor epidurals and work provided after call.  Earning potential in excess of $200K in addition to employee benefits.
